FAQ:

How is Bootcamp any different from any other regular aerobics class?

I'm glad you asked!

For starters, there is a much more detail and instruction on strength training and conditioning. The intensity level is higher and there is much more individualized attention.

Bootcamp is a results oriented program, with progressions and regressions for every participant based on what the instructor sees. It is essentially, Personal Training done in a large group, in a very creative and interactive way.

Bootcamp just sounds scary, are you going to be yelling and screaming at me?

Absolutely NOT...This is not the military and we are not drill instructors; we will not disrespect our servicemen and women by pretending to be. Our intent is to educate, encourage, and instruct exercise in a fun and safe manner, giving you a great workout experience.

Do I need to bring anything to class?

Most sessions of bootcamp will be held outside, so you should check the weather and dress accordingly (we recommend layers if it's chilly). Also bring a towel and/or an exercise mat, and always bring water.

If the weather is bad where will camp be?

Weather will be part of the elements of bootcamp; a little bit of rain or some cold weather won't hurt. In cases of extreme weather such as heavy rain or very high temperatures, we will adjust accordingly and you will be notified ahead of time.

What if I can't do some of the exercises?

You won't be alone...That's why we have modifications for every exercise, no matter what it is; we will be there to show you alternative exercises ensuring your safety.

I'm very out of shape, what if I can't keep up?

We want your maximum effort, but we know how difficult these workouts can be for even the most advanced exerciser (we did design them after all). Safety is our first priority; if you feel as though you are overexerting, then simply take a break from the action, take a sip of water and walk around while you recover. You may jump right back into the fray as soon as you feel up to it.

I'm glad you asked!

Every person that wants to take part in bootcamp must participate in, and pass to the trainer's satisfaction, a health evaluation that will include tutorial instruction on some of the basic movements we will do during bootcamp, take a fitness test, and review a comprehensive health history.

This health evaluation makes it possible for us to base our bootcamp programming off of the needs of our clientele. During each session, your instructor(s) will be moving throughout, carefully watching every participants looking for proper form and technique.
